Fall is one of the busiest times of the year for jewelry stores and fashion gurus alike. Fashion jewelry trends change every year and a new range of gemstones, precious metals, and other stones become available. Even though the fall brings with it some of the fashions and trends that were popular in the past, it also presents opportunities for retailers to sell their product line with an added value and appeal. If you are in the market for some new jewelry and accessories this year, then make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the following six fallacies:
The first fall craze is color blocking. Color blocking is when a piece of jewelry is crafted out of many different colors of the same stone or metal, usually contrasting on either side to create a look of extreme opposites. This trend has caught on nicely amongst women who like the fact that they have a wide selection of gemstones and precious metals to choose from, but have remained simplistic and elegant in design. Some of the newer versions of color blocking designs feature silver as well as gold, which can be a nice contrast to the more traditional gold and silver, creating a contemporary trend for those interested in color blocking pieces.
The second fall craze is for the little black dress. Although this fall, attire featuring patterned patterns are staying away from stripes and polka dots, they have definitely gained in popularity. Ties and dresses that feature ruffles, paisley and flower prints are really flying off the shelves. For those who prefer not to wear patterned pieces, black is still the winning pick. It’s subtle enough to wear with anything, but bold enough to stand out. This season, we are seeing a resurgence of classic prints as well as newer trends such as snake skin prints and metallic pieces.
